Thesis Reflection
Senior thesis was a great way to be reminded how systems within the building are interconnected. However, I believe my time and effort would have been better spent taking other courses or starting my career in the industry. Thesis felt very much like a poor review of my knowledge rather than an expansion or furthering of my expertise or experience. For the amount of work that is done there is very little feedback that comes at appropriate times in the design or at all. The skills I used in thesis are skills I already had developed or were skills that I know will be retrained into me by my company in the particular way they do things. The opportunity to design a project through to the end with very little limitations is appealing but as an individual project I feel that there is very little motivation or benefit. Working in small groups I feel would have given all of us a more realistic, meaningful, and worthwhile experience.

CPEP Review
Keeping record of my thesis progress on a Wix site made Thesis feel more meaningful in that it wasn’t just another course where we turned work in and went to the next assignment. Compiling all the work on the website makes it feel whole throughout the year and more meaningful. Some parts of the website, like keeping the newsfeed on the homepage I think need some rethinking, but overall the structure of the website helps to keep everyone organized and well presented.
